My Residence Case Study – East Harlsey Village Hall

Situated in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire lies the village of East Harlsey. In the heart of the village sits the Village Hall; it’s the main centre for village activities and can also be hired by the general public or by business organisations. With three halls, a bar and a large outside area, the hall offers many opportunities including business meetings, social and charity functions, wedding receptions, and many more.

Located at the centre of the main street, the Village Hall is a fantastic building to see. It was built in 1938 by the then leading village family, the Constantines, and 2018 the Hall had its 80th Anniversary. In the last 15 years the villagers have raised funds and grants to refit the kitchen with modern facilities, improve the toilet, refurbish the rooms backstage, and renew the very fine wooden floors; and now it was time for the windows.

This Beautiful Village Halls’ unique large windows have been fitted with a distinctive combination of R7 Chalk White sash with Golden Oak outer frame, brilliantly installed by New Addition Windows Ltd. The new UPVC double-glazed windows perfectly compliment the back door installed previously in 2019.

As with all Residence windows they will have a long life and be virtually maintenance-free, as well as improving the heat retention of the hall and comfort of the community for years to come. Residence 7 are beautifully flush inside and out, outperforming many other systems with a sophisticated seven chamber design and intelligent features.

Furthermore, the wood-stained effect finish sits perfectly in keeping with the countryside aesthetic of this hall. With traditional timber fames regular maintenance is required to keep them in pristine condition however there’s no such worry with our timber alternative systems, as they are virtually maintenance free.
